A Voice for the Players and the Sport

Who Is the USLPA?

The USL Players Association was founded in January of 2018. In November of 2019, the United Soccer League formally recognized the USLPA as the collective bargaining agent for all USL Championship players, as authorized by USL Championship Players. In February of 2020, the United Soccer League formally recognized the USLPA as the collective bargaining agent for all USL League One players, as authorized by USL League One players. The USLPA represents players who are party to a USL standard player contract. It does not represent players party to an academy or loan contract.

The USLPA ran a campaign called 'One Voice' to show its solidarity as it entered into bargaining with the League. The display went better than expected, with all locker rooms responding to the call within 4 days.

We are helping our players on the field, while at the same time providing them with the tools to positively impact their communities off it. We are building a foundation that will aid the next generation of players and leaders in this sport to continue building a better future for US Soccer. It is our hope that the innovation of this Players Association will inspire players for years to come and that each step we take as a collective group will provide not only a brighter future for individual players, but a brighter future for our sport as a whole.
